AI Makes ‘Simpsons’ Real

An artist who “horrifies your warm childhood memories with sinister twists on your favourite shows, cartoons, and pop culture,” according to Milan Jaram, is what he calls himself. Jaram has had great success with his AI-fication of Simpsons characters.

Marge has changed into the Frankenstein bride, Homer has grown more muscular and enraged, and Krusty the Clown’s terrifying face will be the nightmare of young people everywhere and clown PR teams everywhere.

Ned Flanders appears completely defeated, while mischievous Bart and Millhouse suddenly have sad, lifeless eyes devoid of any youthful whimsy.

Jaram recreated the Simpsons characters in a three-part series on his darkside.ai TikTok account that has received close to 10 million views thus far. The Simpson family is portrayed as Calvin Klein models in a different video on darkside.ai. (That Marge would look right at home on the catwalk.)

Tools like Dall-E Mini, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, which let you input a brief sentence describing a picture and then manifest that image onto your screen, frequently in mind-bending and terrifying ways, are helping AI art capture the internet’s attention more and more.

Jaram has asked algorithms to depict Disney princesses in Tim Burton’s way, transform SpongeBob characters into real humans, and turn famous individuals into zombies as part of other terrifying AI fantasies.
