Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Sunday that the Madhya Pradesh government will launch a course in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for students from class 8, making it the country’s first such initiative.
The government will also launch a veterinary telemedicine facility so that livestock keepers can get advice on diseases of cows and other animals over the phone.
A similar service will be launched for farmers to consult experts over the phone about agriculture-related problems and crop diseases, the chief minister said at a press conference in Pachmarhi, MP’s lone hill station located 210 kilometers from Bhopal.
The Madhya Pradesh cabinet’s two-day brainstorming session in Pachmarhi concluded on Sunday. Several other decisions were made by the state cabinet, including the establishment of Sanjivani clinics in urban areas and transportation policy for rural areas.
A decision has been made to set up a veterinary telemedicine facility so that livestock keepers can get advice over the phone if their cows or other animals become ill, Chouhan said.
Similarly, telecall arrangements will be made for farmers to receive advice from specialists on agriculture-related problems and crop diseases, he said. Chouhan stated that for the first time in the country, students from class 8 will be taught artificial intelligence (AI).
He announced the introduction of a 240-hour course for high school students. A renewed CM Tirth Darshan Yojana (a free pilgrimage scheme for senior citizens), which was inactive due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be launched the following month, with the first train leaving for Varanasi on April 18, he said, adding that state cabinet ministers will also be traveling in this first train.
According to him, a plan to arrange for senior citizens to fly to distant pilgrimage sites was also discussed. The amount of financial assistance for the Kanyadan Scheme (for the marriage of poor-family girls) has been increased to Rs 55,000, according to the CM.
On May 2, a renewed “Ladli Laxmi Yojana” will be launched, he said. Fair price shops will be converted into multipurpose stores selling items other than rations, according to the CM.
He stated that schools are being built in various locations throughout MP, with buildings costing Rs 24 crore. Chouhan stated that a “CM Sanjivani clinic” will be established for every 25,000 people in urban areas to reduce the burden on large hospitals and that this facility will begin in some areas on April 22.
He stated that MP will be the first state in India to allow students to study MBBS in Hindi. This move will benefit students who attended non-English medium schools, Chouhan explained. He also stated that cyber tehsils will be established, where people will be able to obtain land transfer titles online.
