The IT behemoth Google said that a cloud based node engine for Ethereum applications will be released.
According to the business, its Google Cloud Blockchain Node Engine will be a fully managed node-hosting solution that can eliminate the requirement for node operations, which means Google would be in charge of watching over node activity and restarting them when there are outages.
A node is a specific kind of computer that runs blockchain software to verify and store the transaction history on a network of blockchains. Only Ethereum nodes will be supported by Google at launch.
The statement by Google shows the increasing focus that major IT companies are placing on blockchain, cryptocurrency, and Web3 projects. Google stated in their announcement that Blockchain is transforming the way the world stores and moves its information.
In order to accept cryptocurrency payments for its cloud services, Google formed a partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase earlier this month.
In addition, Google Cloud and BNB chain announced a partnership in September to foster the development on early stage Web3 startups.
Google also revealed in January that it was establishing a Digital Assets Team for Google Cloud, demonstrating its dedication to creating Web3 projects.
