Google is leading the Crypto Investments race
From September 2021 to mid-June 2022, cryptocurrency startups received investments from 40 publicly traded companies, according to a new study by the information platform Blockdata. The total investment reached $ 6 billion.
Based on the analysis, Google ranks number one in terms of amount invested in blockchain/crypto. The tech giant participated in 4 funding rounds, raising over $1.5 billion. Alphabet has invested in Fireblocks, game development company NFT Dapper Labs, payment solutions provider BTC Voltage and venture capital firm Digital Currency Group.

Other companies that have invested in the sector include; BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, Samsung, Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, PayPal, Microsoft, etc.

Samsung is the most active company on the list based on the number of funding rounds it has participated in. The manufacturer has invested in 13 companies, including Flowcarbon climate protection solutions, Saga.xyz development platform, Web3 platform creating the popular Bored Ape Yuga Labs NFT ecosystem, and more. Previous versions of Blockdata show that 55% of the top 100 banks have invested in the crypto/blockchain industry.
