CBSE assessing exams through data analytics

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced Tuesday that it will use advanced data analytics to identify cases / centers that have a high likelihood of unfair exams being resorted to.

CBSE will use advanced data analytics to detect and respond to irregularities in academic tests in all major exams conducted by CBSE in the country, “the board said in a press release.

The board said that in order to identify suspicious data models at the center level and at the individual reviewer level, a pilot analysis was carried out in collaboration with the Central Square Foundation (CSF) and Playpower Labs. during the January edition of the CTET exam.

“On the basis of this analysis, the CBSE aims to identify examination centers whose data indicate the existence of negligence in the conduct of examinations. Thereafter, the CBSE can take appropriate measures to enhance the reliability of the exams and discourage such wrongdoing in the future, ”the board said.
