Bharti Airtel launched the Xstream multiplex on Tuesday, declaring it to be India’s first metaverse multiplex. The Xstream multiplex is an expansion of Airtel’s Xstream Premium service, which recently reached a two-million subscriber milestone just 100 days after its inception, according to the firm.
As per the statement, Airtel reveals India’s first metaverse multiplex.
Airtel’s Xstream multiplex will comprise twenty screens and access to content catalogs from eminent OTT partners.
Aside from English and Hindi, the multiplex will allow for sampling of top original shows and movies with content pieces like the first episode of an OTT original or the first minutes of a movie in regional languages. After subscribing to a plan, viewers will have full access.
The Xstream multiplex offers a mesmerizing content experience with various engagement layers, allowing users to interact with the Partynite Metaverse. Essence, Airtel’s integrated media agency of record, conceived the concept, which was developed by Gamitronics, Partynite’s creator, a blockchain-powered digital parallel universe, it added.
According to Shashwat Sharma, Director of Marketing at Airtel, the Xstream multiplex offers an awesome experience by combining Web 3.0 apps, immersive storytelling, and a variety of content from partners.
