Polyakov: Ukraine needs data, not relocation offers for its engineers

EOS Data Analytics has asked Earth Observatory companies around the world to share the latest optical and synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images from Ukraine and its neighbors to support Ukraine’s military and humanitarian efforts.

However, US image providers may not be able to work directly with Noosphere Venture Partners, the owner of EOS Data Analytics. It was added to the list of US government people and organizations banned from receiving federal contracts and support in December. A notification named the US was published on the SAM.gov website. However, the Air Force as an exclusion agency did not explain the entry. SpaceNews confirmed the inclusion of Noosphere Venture Partners in the excluded parties system after Quartz’s Tim Fernholz tweeted a statement issued by SAR provider Capella saying it could not help EOS Data Analytics because “several parties ” linked on request is in the list.

Based in Menlo Park, California, EOS Data Analytics is a portfolio of Noosphere Venture Partners, a US-based investment company with offices throughout Ukraine. Both companies were founded by Ukrainian-born entrepreneur Max Polyakov. He is in the process of selling his interest in another Noosphere Venture company, Firefly Aerospace, to AE Industrial Partners. The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States has requested Polyakov to sell its stake in rocket developers.

EOS Data Analytics announced on February 28 that it has upgraded its EOS Data Analytics platform to process, analyze and share remote sensing data with the Ukrainian military and humanitarian organizations.

The economic, political, and humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine are already too great to be dismissed

If you can help, please provide SAR data that makes a difference, not archived or outdated optical images that serve as PR purposes or evidence of war crimes in future International Criminal Courts.

EOS Data Analytics is particularly interested in quick access to SAR images. This is because clouds often interfere with optical observations in this area.

EOS Data Analytics “requires up-to-date live SAR data to provide awareness and relevant information about nighttime enemy forces and equipment activities (especially refueling operations), regardless of cloud cover not possible with optical data.” It states. Press release. At best, optical data is only available for 2-3 hours during the day, but most enemy attacks and activities take place at night.

The company is also interested in acquiring medium or high-resolution electro-optic images that are quickly delivered to showground activity, such as the location of armored vehicles.

EOS Data Analytics states in a press release, “We understand that some data providers may be subject to certain restrictions when working with Ukrainian private companies.” If a company prefers to deliver data directly to government agencies, EOS Data Analytics proposes to contact government officials, including Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.

There is an urgent need for an opportunity to observe the movements of the Russian army, especially at night when our technology is blind! Fedorov has Planet, Maxar Technologies, Airbus, SI Imaging Services, BlackSky, Iceye, SpaceView, Capella

A plea to would-be poachers

After encouraging companies to share images, Poliakov targeted US, European, and South Korean companies that said they were hiring Ukrainian aerospace engineers to take advantage of Russia’s invasion.

The aerospace engineer job offer to relocate is considered an offensive action against Ukraine to steal our intellectual capital.
It’s okay for companies with R & D centers in Ukraine to offer worker relocation, but with companies that didn’t exist in Ukraine and “the situation my country is suffering is used to improve their companies.
